Rio de Janeiro
Climate Diagram

Interestingly, yearly average precipitation in Rio de Janeiro is less than half of Santos or Ubatuba. This is mainly due to the Guanabará Graben which pushes the Serra do Mar far to the inland. Therefore, the larger part of humid air masses from the Atlantic Ocean passes the city and just rains down in the mountains (see, for example Serra dos Órgãos).
