This map shows the southern segment of the Ribeira belt which corresponds largely to the southern part
of São Paulo State and northern part of Paraná.
Of particular interest for geological tours are the granitic intrusions of
Juréia - Itatins and Marumbi and the carbonatic rocks of
the Lajeado subgroup which make up the magnificent karst landscape of the Upper Ribeira /
Paranapiacaba Speleological Province
