Geological Travel / Brazil – The Mantiqueira Province is one of the three geotectonic provinces of the Atlantic Shield and the geological playground for most of our tours.

It describes a large region in the eastern part of the South American Platform that stretches about 3.000 km along Brazil's southeastern and southern coast from South Bahia to the border with Uruguay.

It can be divided into a northern, central and southern segment that towards the end of the Neoproterozoic (prior to the opening of the South Atlantic) contained the Araçuaí (A), Ribeira (R) and Dom Feliciano (D) orogens – Geotravel & tours / Brazil.
