Araquém Alcântara

Rainforest Tours / Brazil – In early 2007, Araquém Alcântara publishes two new books about two different rainforest biomes in Brazil:

• A Grande Floresta / (The Great Forest) about the Amazon and

• Mar de Dentro / (The Inner Sea) about the Atlantic Rainforest.

In "A Grande Floresta", Araquém documents on the one hand the biodiversity richness of Brazil's largest biome and on the other hand the devastation of this forest.

In this book, with texts from Antonio Paulo Valone and Otávio Rodrigues, Alcântara was supported by Greenpeace, Instituto Ipê, Instituto Peabiru, Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia and Instituto Sócio Ambiental – Brazil / Travel & Tours.
